One of Chicago's Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs

Wow. Back in May I was contacted by Voyage Chicago asking me if I would like to be featured in one of their articles. They wanted to ask me a bunch of questions about my business and being an entrepreneur. I happily obliged and today I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be included as one of Chicago's Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs! I've been an entrepreneur for 8 years and I never would have guessed in a million years that this type of honor would happen to me! Little old me who started out designing birthday party invitations for friends and am now designing patterns and art for various surfaces with products for sale in major stores like Target and Home Depot. I'm happy to not only be inspirational to others but it has even inspired me to be a better artist and entrepreneur. Thank you Voyage Chicago! Read the full article here.

Surtex 2017

It's almost here - Surtex 2017! I've been working my patootie off (or so my 6 year old would say) for the past few months creating new patterns and illustrations to debut at my second Surtex show and I'm excited to say that I'm in the home stretch! There's so much that goes in to exhibiting at a trade show. If you've ever done one, you know what I'm talking about! So it's time to take a little breather and finally start sharing the work that I'm so proud of. Here are a few of my flyers that will be circling around my social media accounts and other blogs over the next few weeks before the show as well as a sneak peek of my Lookbook. I'll be exhibiting again with Four Corners Art Collective in Booth 2723. If you're an Art Director and would like to make an appointment, feel free to email me. And if you follow me on Instagram, I'll be posting pictures and videos from the actual show. Otherwise, I'll post a recap in a few weeks!

Graduation Products

Since May is right around the corner and it's graduation time across the country, I thought it would be a good time to blog about my Neo Geo Grad collection I collaborated on with Design Design. It includes two sizes of napkins, a gift bag, greeting card, and boxed thank you notes. I was really thrilled to work on this project. I love how they put the designer's information on the actual products, which is a big deal for us! And they've included Neo Geo Grad in their 2017 Graduation advertising campaign! I've also designed Confirmation and Communion greeting cards which are great quality. They are printed on beautiful paper and the text is in real gold and silver foil. Some of the products are available on Design Design's website but mostly found at retailers across the country.
